About the Artist

EJ Wilson is a Sonoma-based abstract artist and longtime hairdresser since the mid 1980s. She began painting in 2020 during the Covid shutdown, turning a creative pause into a passionate art practice.

Working primarily in acrylic and collage, Wilson creates layered abstracts that explore color, rhythm, and emotion. Her work has appeared in a juried exhibition at the Arts Guild of Sonoma, the Sonoma Art Walk, and venues including the Sonoma Holistic Center, Gerhicke Tasting Room, The Vintage House, Art Escape and local art fairs. Blending a stylist’s trained eye with intuitive expression, she brings a strong sense of design and movement to both her art and her work behind the chair.
